C-Tick is the certification of the electromagnetic co***tibility part of Australia. It is regulated by the Australian Communications Authority (ACA). At present, only the interference part is regulated. The products within the scope of control are enforced from 1/01, 1999.
Electrical Safety Requirements:
In Australia, electrical safety compliance assessment is the responsibility of local governments, and each competent authority adopts the reciprocal approval framework (Approvals Scheme) of the "Electrical Safety Act 1945". This framework divides electrical products into two categories: Declared and Non-declared. Announced products must comply with relevant Australian safety standards and obtain a certificate of approval from the state competent authority. Non-advertised electrical and electronic equipment may be sold without certification. However, retailers, manufacturers and importers must ensure the safety of such electrical appliances.
EMC requirements:
Australia's EMC requirements adopt the self-declaration approach of the EMC Architecture (Radiocommunications Act 1992). All electrical products specified in this architecture must comply with Australian standards and be approved by the Australian Bureau of Communications in order to use the C-Tick mark. If the product meets both electrical safety and electromagnetic co***tibility requirements, it can apply for the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM).
